RESOURCES: Knowledge and Management.

Hello there! Good to have you here once again. How has your week being? Hope not too stressful? Thanks for coming around once again; all your emphases, likes and comments; both online and offline are highly appreciated. And to our first timers, you are warmly welcome too. I hope today’s post will be worth your time.🙏

So we have being discussing resources; and we push further today with the topic knowledge and management.

If you notice, all through this series, we have consciously focused on the soul and at a point we spoke about mental values which is one of the types of human resources. What I established in that post is the importance of knowledge. Without it, majority are blinded with ignorance; which is the worst form of blindness.

What is knowledge?! Knowledge is defined as the result of perception, learning and reasoning. This means, before you can be called knowledgeable,  you must have learnt, perceived and/or reason out some applicable things.

I emphasized greatly on how unlimited a mentally equipped soul is when we discussed potentials and capacity. But as unlimited as the capacity of the mind and soul is, it is easily distracted. Everything that takes the mind away from learning, perceiving and reasoning is a distraction to the soul; because, the soul like we have said over time in this blog is our decision maker. And before the soul will be well able to make good decisions, it must have learnt enough.

This sort of learning occurs in different ways, which includes observation, perception, and so on. The decisions of medical doctors is satified after they are well taught about human anatomy and other relative courses; the same goes for law, engineering and other professions you can think of. These is why I said whatsoever distracts the mind and soul from learning is as well distracting the soul from making good decisions.

The height of human knowledge is science and technology, and evidently most of what was invented and taught today in science were reasoned out by individuals like Newton, Faraday, Thomas Edison and a host of others. This goes to buttress what I said earlier about the unlimited-ness of the capacity of the soul. But without proper management of these souls, it would have being very impossible for their mind to be focus up until when they made those inventions.

For instance: Thomas Edison was mentored by his mother when his teacher claim he is not teachable. After which he then worked with various companies, acquiring enormous knowledge before he became an inventor. His success as an individual was rooted on how well his mother managed him.

Every child was born ignorant! Every soul needs to be taught to focus before you can move ahead. The mind normally works on gathering knowledge into the soul, which is how we all learnt how to talk and walk. But after a certain age, the mind can be distracted, and when this happens, it is always hard for the soul to gather knowledge: because the mind can only focus on a thing per time. Distraction could be peer group, cars, clothes, hunger, poverty, inferiority complex, getting rich and so on.

Most of those inventors were all managed to a point they could keep their mind focused. They denied themselves the pleasures of life so they could focus their mind on knowledge. Every business tycoon, every genius or guru out there, every political leader that made mark on earth focused their mind on knowledge and nothing else. Distraction is friend to ignorance, an enemy of knowledge and the soul.

Distraction was what made Thomas Edison’s teachers deemed him unteachable. The same happened to Dr Ben Carson when he was deemed a failure amongst his colleagues at a tender age. It took the consciousness of their parent to help guide and re-channel their mind back to knowledge. This is why I said the moment the society frustrates parents,  it will be very hard for such parents to train their children properly.

Acquisition of knowledge is very hard for a distracted soul: as it is for adults, likewise for youth. It takes the same process and approach to gather knowledge: and that is evident in the power of focus. For youth, being playful is their major distraction while responsibility is adult’s major distraction; and at both levels, there is a need for proper management of the soul for maximum productivity.

The management of adults rest in the hands of the government, while the management of the young chaps rest in the hands on the parents and teachers. The decision of the government( if not favorable), will affect the lives of teachers and parents, which will be another burden added to their responsibilities. This will make it hard for them to be focus, talk less be able to note distracted children or know what to do to re-channel them.

This is how mismanagement ruins the future of a country; this is how bad leaders, bad decisions and bad political system derails the progress of a nation.

The need for managerial ability within a nation cannot be undermined. All the three types of mentor discussed in the previous post requires different managerial approach which is dependent on the knowledge acquired; so do leaders too. As a matter of fact maturity is the ability to properly manage yourself and the resources you have access to.

Government officials are meant to create a conducive environment for citizens; as well as help manage the human and natural resources of that nation. The conducive environment will enable parents and teacher manage the ideal resources (i.e the soul of the children) while the proper management of the other resources enables stability and growth of national economy.

Can you see how a nation without a good political system turns the coming generation into a menace?!

Thanks for reading through. I hope the time spent wasn’t a waste? Please, don’t forget to share this on your social media page; let’s spread the goodwill message. And feel free to use the comment column for comments, questions and/or contributions. Our next topic will be the recap of everything we have discussed on resources. Until then, take good care of you. Ciao!
